Living Room Group Leadership Meeting
  • DDDeGrootDDDeGroot June 2011
    Hi All,
Just an update on the leadership meeting Jorie and I attended with other Group Leaders this past Sunday evening,

-We discussed the possibility of Dave, Bud, or William Vanderbilt joining us for a Q&A of all of the topics we have struggled with...seems likely for this fall.
-The Teams are trying to get more than one "Living Room" at church, there was discussion of 4 such rooms being created upstairs, of course this relies on funding.
-They are looking at new leaders for this fall in case any of you are interested in multiplying our group.  My recommendation for our group is that we stay together however, So Jorie and I will not be recommending anyone from our group to leadership.  We feel strongly the second year of the groups is when we begin to trust each other and the real conversations/explorations start occuring.
-The church currently has 17 groups! We all wanted to thank you all for helping make that vision a reality last fall.
-The Leadership teams are working on a more stable solution for Child Care.  This is something we can discuss as the fall gets closer.
-This Fall we will welcome any new additions to our group at one time in September.  We do want to cap our group at 15 however, anything bigger than this and we will not be able to form the relationships a successful group needs to create. At this point, there are 3 people who have been recommended to join our group!

Hope you all are enjoying your summer (And Jorie will be contacting you all soon about finalizing our Summer plans!)

    -Derek

Thanks for the update! Looking forward to getting together again in the fall.

Having one of the more knowledgeable people join us for a Q&A would be very helpful as we only know so much and answers would be quite helpful.

Keep us posted on any other changes!

Howdy, Stranger!
