May 21st anyone?

I have a sneaky suspicion the world isn't ending in two days...
  • ugh.  seriously?  I thought they'd at least have some sort of 'proof' that would make more sense...

What's the point of knowing this?  Why did they spend so much time trying to dig so deeply and find strange 'hidden meanings' behind everything?

Why do they insist on knowing anyway?  So they could feel more in control? ... like they're in on some sort of secret just because they spent so many hours making calculations and looking for signs?

Honestly, that website is pretty frightening.

What's frightening to me is that there are people who waste so much time and so many resources on something they have absolutely no control over, besides the fact that the Bible says that Jesus will come when you least expect it, "like a thief in the night." All of that time, effort, and all of those resources could have done quite a bit of good on someone's community.

I'm quite curious what that website will say on and after May 21st.
  • exactly.
but if you read the site more, they say that the thief in the night bit is not what it sounds like.  they say give it some other meaning. uhhh ok.
they're totally playing the 'use bits of the Bible and leave out the rest of the context' game so they could get their point across too, which is lovely.

and apparently, according to them, on the 21st there are supposed to be earthquakes everywhere and then the world will be horrible and people will die every day until it all ends for good October 21st...

These people are so convinced they're right.  I wonder what they're going to do if they're wrong?  I wonder what they're doing now... do you think they all quit their jobs and are just praying 24/7 or something?

eh, they were wrong before and they'll be wrong again.

  • seriously.  quite often I wish we didn't have the internet, smart phones, cable tv, and a lot of the other stuff we do now.  it must have been nice to live before all of that.
i think some of the only things i would miss would be air conditioning, cleanliness, advanced medicine, and dental hygiene.

    Matthew 24:36
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Hmmm...if Jesus doesn't know do you really think we as people on Earth know? Foolishness.

And Kristina-  I would really miss Air Conditioning!
